Measurement Guide
KINDLY LAY YOUR BEST FITTED / FAVOURITE SHIRT FULLY FLAT ON THE TABLE OR ANY FLAT SURFACE.
CHEST : Measure straight across the shirt from one underarm to the other. Double the value for the full chest.
WAIST : Measure straight across the shirt at the narrowest part of the body. Double the value for full waist.
HIP : Measure straight across the bottom hem from side seam to side seam. Double the value for full hip.
SHOULDER : Measure straight across the back from the edge of one shoulder seam to the other.
BACK LENGTH : Measure from the base of the collar (center back) straight down to the bottom hem.
FRONT LENGTH : Measure from the highest shoulder point next to the collar down the placket to the bottom hem.
HALF SLEEVE LENGTH : Measure from the shoulder point along the outer edge of the sleeve to the end.
HALF SLEEVE OPENING : Measure straight across edge to edge. Double for full circumference.
FULL SLEEVE LENGTH : Measure from the shoulder point along the outer edge of the sleeve to the edge of the cuff.
BICEP WIDTH : Measure straight across the sleeve at the widest part (just below the armhole). Double for full circumference.
ELBOW WIDTH : Measure midway between the armhole and cuff along the sleeve width. Double for full circumference.
CUFF WIDTH : Measure straight across the cuff edge to edge
CUFF HEIGHT : Measure from the cuff edge to seam joining the cuff to the sleeve.
COLLAR : Lay the collar flat and measure from the center of the button to the center of the buttonhole along the collar band.
COLLAR STAND HEIGHT : Measure from collar band seam at the neckline to the top edge of collar band at center back
COLLAR POINT LENGTH : Measure from the collar band seam to the tip of the collar point.
ARMHOLE DEPTH : Measure along the curved armhole seam from the shoulder point down to the underarm point.
POCKET HEIGHT : Measure vertically from the top edge to the bottom edge of the pocket
POCKET WIDTH : Measure across the pocket from side to side at the widest point.
PLACKET WIDTH : Measure horizontally from one edge of the placket to the opposite edge.
Note : All measurements are to be taken on a flat surface with the Shirt buttoned and smoothed gently without tension. Also, avoid stretching or distorting the fabric.
